I just got back from an OC Podcasters meetup tonight. Our guest speaker was DJ Steve Boyett, the producer of the extremely popular Podrunner podcast. Many thanks to Steve for making the trek to the meeting and sharing his experience, and if you’re looking for a great music podcast to exercise to you should check out his show.

I just signed up for Leo Laporte’s TWiT Army Page. It’s an interesting use of microblogging (e.g. Twitter, for the uninitiated) for a community rather than the public at large. Only problem: I’m now signed up for way too many of these things to keep up with. I’d love to hear what John Dvorak has to say about this one…

I’ve been playing with Viddler for the past couple of days and really like it so far. They’ve done a great job of letting users customize the interface and are incredibly interactive with their user community. Check it out and see what you think.

Just ran across this great post by Gary Vaynerchuk (of Wine Library TV) talking about how you can build your new media show / business / podcast etc. without quitting your day job. As he calls it, “hustle 2.0″. Very good message to people who think their day jobs are crowding out their passions.
