This takes the cake… Swiss car maker Rinspeed has created a submersible car based on the Lotus Elise. Seems like they’ve been watching a bit too much James Bond (see The Spy Who Loved Me); are they going to do the disappearing car next? Anti-aircraft missiles perhaps?
This should make things interesting (the quote is from WSJ’s email update this morning):
“Yahoo Inc.’s board plans to reject Microsoft Corp.’s unsolicited $44.6 billion offer to acquire the Web giant, a person familiar with the situation says.
After a series of meetings over the past week, Yahoo’s board determined that the $31 per share offer “massively undervalues” Yahoo, the person said. It also doesn’t account for the risks Yahoo would be taking by entering into an agreement that might be overturned by regulators. The board plans to send a letter to Microsoft…”
This just in from the WSJ:
“Dell Inc. has decided to stop selling most consumer systems powered by Advanced Micro Devices Inc. chips through Dell’s popular Web site.
The big computer company says it still plans to keep selling the AMD-based machines in retail stores and over the phone. But Dell’s decision is nevertheless seen as a negative for AMD, which took years to convince Dell to modify its longtime strategy of using only chips from Intel Corp.”

I ran across a blog post that linked to this image on Photo.net – amazing!
A new set of numbers was just released by eMarketer re: the current size of the podcast market. They include projections out through 2012 and expect ~25 million “active listeners” by then. IMHO it’s going to get even bigger, even faster but by 2012 it’s just going to be called content, not “podcast”, “videocast”, “vlog”, “netcast”, etc.
